NJM Group doesn’t just offer bike racks. We also offer the next generation bike sharing system. We have reinvented traditional bike sharing to make it safer, greener and easier to use.
The system is based on the NJM Lock and App with GPS, Geo Fence Parking, bird’s eye view of the fleet and much more. The system is easy and safe to use, as the GPS and Geo Fence properties make tampering, stealing or illegal parking hard to do.
What is Australian Bike Share?
Australian Bike Share is a new app based bike sharing system with total fleet control, key-less locking and geo fence parking.
How Australian Bike Share works
There are two components to the system: Our innovative NJM lock and an app.
The NJM Lock is hard mounted onto each bike in the fleet. Communicating with the app, it allows users to sign in, use the bikes, and receive information about their ride directly to their phone. It also allows total control of the fleet for the administrator, with a bird’s eye view of all the bicycles at all times.
The NJM Lock has a built-in GPS and Bluetooth that can’t be switched off. If anyone tries to tamper with it, a warning is immediately sent to the administrator’s phone.
This is useful for the administrator who can keep track of his fleet at all times, locate and fix repairs, add or block users and generally create high customer service.
This bike sharing system solves the problems traditional bike sharing systems face, such as lost bikes and illegal parking. It is the perfect solution for a range of organisations and communities that want all the benefits of bike sharing.
The NJM Lock and App
The NJM Lock and App is at the center of this new system.
The locks have Bluetooth 4.0 with a range of up to 120m for easy wireless communication with the user’s phone.
With a rechargeable battery that can live of up to 16 months, and encryption for secure connectivity, the lock is both safe, environmentally friendly and durable.
The app is compatible with both Android and iOS, and can be branded for any client. It also allows the administrator to set a Geo Fence for the fleet. This sets a limit on where bikes can be ridden. If a bike leaves that area the administrator will be notified on where the bike is and who is riding it.
The rider will also be notified that they have left the area, and are guided back to the designated Geo Fence.
No more illegal parking
Geo Fencing can also be used to ensure bikes are locked in designated bike drop off zones so they aren’t just left in the middle of walk ways or dumped on the side of the road.
